  We went to this bakery for a breakfast stop heading south this morning. From the outside the signage looks good, there is a nice, clean, functional and honest feel about the dining area inside the bakery. Approaching the counter there was a female server making coffee who let us stand there for a minute or so before acknowledging us. She said she'd just be a few minutes as she was busy making coffee's. An older gentleman came out from the back, did a few things in front of us, gave us a brief glance looked at the lady server making the coffee's and said she won't be long and then walked out the front and started talking to some of the patrons in Macedonian, so I can only assume this was the owner. The server making the coffee's took all 3 of them out the back where in clear view she gave them to the workers. We had now been waiting about 5 minutes and were having thoughts about going somewhere else by this stage as we couldn't believe the blatantly obvious bad service that had just occurred but the pastries looked really nice and we'd heard good things by a Macedonian friend of ours about this place. So we stayed and waited and ordered the cheese and leek burek (pastry). Once the lady behind the counter served us, it was promptly prepared and it was every bit as good as the hype. Delicious! Full points for the food. I can only give 3 stars which are all for the food as the service needs a shake up.

  The finest Burek in Sydney. This place bakes delicious "Real" bread, the sourdough justified for. Sweets are fantastic. Service is good. Great place to eat in with a casual coffee too. A standard for me for many years.

  Been driving to Westfields Miranda from Brighton just for a spinach and cheese or just a cheese until I was told they're also at Rockdale. Well, I'm saving fuel next time

  They make the best Macedonian pastry Burek. I prefer the one with .meat, they also do the spinach and cheese or just cheese. Wash it down with some buttermilk.....

  One of the best Burek's you'll find outside your grandma's house in Sydney.

  Tried the cob bread I believe the Romano. Best crusty bread. What have I been missing these years!
